Fake duracell battteries, Scandisk cards on ebay, fake reeds

I always had faith in Duracell batteries. But over the past year I have had many failures
4 smoke alarm batteries failed with guaranteed to last 2015 (Duracell Plus 9V Alkaline 99397254 mn1604 6lr61 Mar 2015)

Duracell website don?t make it clear where to return failures.
They are thought to be made by Procter and gamble in Geneva Switzerland.
At the moment it does not seem worth the effort trying to return them.
Problem is I can?t remember where I bought them from.
On further searching a link can be found for the UK agent

A check on the internet found numerous fake batteries leaking and exploding.
Fake Duracell battery alert.
Consumers are advised to beware bargain Duracell batteries as inferior counterfeits are still being found on sale in the borough.
