Lesson 1 of 9  Tutorial by Nick Hislam.

Many jazz players when improvising play the middle range of their instrument.
They often don't use the extremes.
Think about rhythms. Set the time in your head.
Nick selects the scale of D7.
When practising scales make up a tune and play on that scale.
You can do this on your own or with a backing track.
Try making up a tune and improvise.
Rhythm is important keep time sometimes lightly tapping your foot
helps with the rhythm.

Many thanks to Nick for the tutorials.
