Macclesfield Music Centre. Saturday Club  April 2nd 2011 10.15am

What a very beautiful arrangement the children of Israel are never alone.
?Close Every Door.? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close_Every_Door )
The members of Macclesfield Music Centre practice the music.
They are a wonderful people, very friendly I feel so fortunate Carol introduced me the to the members.
Carol is on the left playing Soprano Sax.

I keep playing the video and listening to the music.
So very nice with a lovely balance the melody line.
I only wish I could play Alto Sax so well.
This is my next piece of music I must learn to play.

The following music again was played beautifully. The music is on the tip of my tongue.
Please join the forum can you tell us more?  Do you know where we can download the musical score for saxophone?

Hi every one
These are the lyrics you might like to sing Close Every Door

Joseph

Close every door to me,
Hide all the world from me
Bar all the windows
And shut out the light
Do what you want with me,
Hate me and laugh at me
Darken my daytime
And toture my night
If my life were important I
Would ask will I live or die
But I know the answers lie
Far from this world
Close every door to me,
Keep those I love from me
Children of Israel
Are never alone
For I know I shall find
My own peace of mind
For I have been promised
A land of my own

Children

Close every door to me,
Hide all the world from me
Bar all the windows
And shut out the light
Joseph

Just give me a number
Instead of my name
Forget all about me
And let me decay
I do not matter,
I'm only one person
Destroy me completely
Then throw me away
If my life were important I
Would ask will I live or die
But I know the answers lie
Far from this world

Joseph, Ensemble & Children

Close every door to me,
Keep those I love from me
Children of Israel
Are never alone
For we know we shall find
Our own peace of mind
For we have been promised
A land of our own

Hi
The answer to the question on the music after Close Every Door
Lullaby of Birdland
is a 1952 popular song with music by George Shearing and lyrics by George David Weiss under the pseudonym "B. Y. Forster"
Birdland was a famous jazz club in New York City.
Morris Levy renamed the club Birdland in honor of Charlie ?Bird? Parker.
Original Key   F minor/Ab major.
The genius of George Shearing in a devine moment during dinner party went over to the piano and wrote the whole thing in about ten minutes.

Oh, lullaby of birdland, that's what I
Always hear when you sigh,
Never in my wordland could there be ways to reveal
in a phrase how I feel
Have you ever heard two turtle doves
Bill and coo, when they love?
That's the kind of magic music we make with our lips
When we kiss
And there's a weepy old willow
He really knows how to cry,
That's how I'd cry in my pillow
If you should tell me farewell and goodbye
Lullaby of birdland whisper low
Kiss me sweet, and we'll go.

Try playing the score transposed for easy play on Saxophone.
